Tony Award-winning actress to partner with University Theatre
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Tony Award-winning actress and musical comedy genius Beth Leavel with join Western Michigan University theatre students in the annual musical theatre event, "Next Stop, Broadway!" Dec. 10-12 in the Williams Theatre at the Gilmore Theatre Complex.

"Next Stop, Broadway!" is cabaret-style evening full of music. The first act will feature the graduating seniors of the Music Theatre Performance program and the second act will star Leavel.
On Thursday, Dec. 10, the University Theatre Guild will host a benefit event that includes a catered reception by Bravo!, a pre-show conversation with Beth Leavel and a ticket to that evening’s performance. Proceeds will benefit WMU theatre student scholarships. Tickets for the benefit are $35 ($20 for pass holders).
Beth Leavel
Leavel received Tony, Drama Desk, NY Outer Critics Circle and L.A Drama Critics Awards for her performance as the title character in "The Drowsy Chaperone." She also received a Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle nomination for her role as Florence Greenberg in "Baby It’s You." Other Broadway credits include "Mamma Mia!," "Young Frankenstein" and "Elf." She recently made her NY Cabaret debut at 54 Below to sellout audiences.

All seating for "Next Stop, Broadway!" at Williams Theatre is general admission. Tickets are $20, $18 for senior citizens and WMU employees, $5 for WMU students and $10 for all other students.
